Coloring Challenges

Hi Stampers! It's a rainy dreary day here, but I am adding a little sunshine to my corner of the word with this happy card. I dug out an older stamp set today for my verse. After taking some time off from my blog and stamping, I have spend the past few months with my stamping friends revisiting my favorite creative outlet and I am slowly adding to my stash of stamps and paper supplies. With my primary focus having been the paper and dies in recent months.

For this card I used some paper from the Stampin' Up! Petal Passion pack and colored in the flowers using my markers in Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst and Powder Pink. The base was done using Berry Burst cardstock, and I added a little softness with a little Sweet Sugarplum ribbon from my stash. I love this soft color, but it will be gone soon so I have stocked up on the ink refill, cardstock and ribbons.

I am linking this card to two challenges this week, the SUO Challenges blog, since I used only Stampin' Up products and Stamp Ink Paper's Color It Challenge. This week's challenge is coloring. The design team has posted a couple of pretty sweet cards on their blog, so head on over and take a look at their amazing creations.

If you stopped by to visit or peek at my card today, please leave a little love in the comments section. Enjoy your Sunday!

Sunday Stamps: Rectangle Love

Hi Stampers! Today I am playing along with the Sunday Stamps challenge Rectangle Love.
Today's card uses all supplies from Stampin' Up! I chose to make it a birthday card because who can't use a birthday card?

Here is my recipe:
Basic Black Cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
Paper Pumpkin Clear Stamps (from my stash)
Petal Passion DSP
Petals and More Thinlit Dies
Stamps: Express Yourself (SU)

Here are a couple more pictures:
I used more of the dies from Petals and More on the inside to turn this into an easel card.

I love the contrast of the black cutouts on the white background. I don't love using the photopolymer stamps but this greeting is gorgeously detailed.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please leave a little love on my post!

Sending a Little Sunshine

Recently I have found time to return to my love of stamping. I have dug out some of my old stamp sets and dies and added some new goodies to my collection. Today I am sharing a card I recently made to send to a friend who needs a little cheering up. I believe I used some Bashful Blue and So Saffron, as well as Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding paper and ink from Stampin' Up!, as well as irridescent glimmer paper, also from Stampin' Up! The dies used for this project come from the Rainbow Builder set, as well as the Petals and More Thinlit Dies.

This particular card was inspired by one I saw by Lauren at the Crafty Little Peach. I love how she uses white layers on her projects.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. Don't forget to leave a little love!!
