Vintage Blueberries

This past weekend my Stampin' Up! Group got together in CT. I shared this card during the Shoe Box Swap. Blueberries always remind me of a house we used to live in - with an orchard in the back and tons of blueberry bushes to boot!

I used the tiny circle punch from the Itty Bitty Punch set, and the Little Leaves and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder from Stampin' Up!. The cardstock used was Very Vanilla, Night of Navy and Sahara Sand. The verse was stamped in Night of Navy ink, and the ribbon is 1/4" Grosgrain in Night of Navy.

Tropical Flip Album

Here is another version of my favorite flip album. I will be holding a class on Thursday July 22nd to make this album. The cost is $15 and there are still spots available!

I had to copy the picture from Life's Memories and More's facebook page. My camera is mia unfortunately or I would have posted pictures of the one I made last weekend using Neutral colors and Artistic Etchings. It was made as a gift, and I had no time to track down a camera to use. I might just have to recreate it!

A Better Picture of 3-D Flowers

Here is the actual project I will be teaching at my 3-D Flower Class in July. We will be embellishing a mini-paint can. Not SU, but fun anyway - realistically I just couldn't burn 8-10 Yankee Candles within the next few weeks anyway. But I will be raffling off the Embellished Candle Jar at the class!

My Upcoming 3-D Flower Class

Next month I will be teaching a class at Life's Memories and More on 3-D Flowers. Here is a picture of my sample, and the other two are Contest Entries ... I didn't win :0(

Portfolio Class

Thank you to everyone who came to my Portfolio Class on Saturday. I had a great time meeting new people, and showing them how to create this awesome gusseted envelope with matching cards, checkbook cover, calendar and note pads. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

Today I will start creating samples for August's Halloween Big Shot Class...can you believe I'm thinking Halloween already??

More Preview

Preview of the new Idea Book and Catalog

My new catalog and pre-order arrived just in time for the weekend, and I couldn't wait to start playing with the new ink and stamps! These samples were made as teacher gifts for the end of the year (I can hardly believe tomorrow is Emma's last day in school!).

The new colors used were: Marina Mist and Cherry Cobbler. I think the Cherry Cobbler teamed up with Crumbcake (formerly Kraft) and Very Vanilla will be my new favorite color combination. Doesn't it look great?

The new stamps used are: Friends Never Fade, Because I Care, and Cute By the Inch!

Thanks for stopping by!

Big Shot Felt Bag

I recently got a new cell phone and wanted to protect the screen from scratches. Here is what I came up with. This uses the Top Note die, crochet thread, Bitty Buttons and Scallop Circle Die. I typically don't undertake projects that involve sewing of any kind, but this was easy peasy!

Cupcakes Class

Today we made cupcakes at Life's Memories and More. This was a version of the cupcake class I posted in April, but I added a 3-D cupcake - inspired by the Stampin' Success cover from last month.

I met some wonderful new people, a current SU Demonstrator and one retired Demo. I really enjoyed the morning-hope they did too!

I Cased the Mini

I used the cover of the current Stampin' Up! Mini-Catalog as inspiration for this card. I love the look of the flowers stamped on the butterflies, when I first saw it I wondered why I had never thought of doing that? Isn't it cute? I changed it up a bit to make it more mine, and of course made it into an easel. I love these easel cards!

OWH Bloghop!

I was viewing the Operation Write Home blog hop earlier today and was inspired to make a couple of cards to donate. Here's what I came up with-

The card on top was created with the Oval All stamp set, the small star punch, the scallop oval punch, Night of Navy, Real Red and Whisper White Card Stock from SU. The ribbon is 1/4" Night of Navy. The DSP is unknown, but was given to me by a good friend-so I put it to good use. I also pulled out my Burgundy Stickles.

The bottom card was created using my white gel pen, paper piercing tool and mat pack, Scallop Square Punch, Whisper White, Real Red and Night of Navy Card Stock, and the Elegant Thank You from SU.

I sure appreciate the sacrifice and hard work our troops do to keep us safe over here :)

Flippin' Scrapbook Baby Boy

I have a pattern for this flip flop scrapbook, but unfortunately didn't save the link when I printed out the directions, and the tutorial does not have the name of the person who originally made it. If you know who's creation this is, please let me know so I can give them the credit! Everyone I show these to loves them. They are super easy to make using less than 5 sheets of card stock and scrapbook paper.

This one was created using Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Whisper White Card Stock, and Sweet Pea DSP.

Stamps used: Animal Crackers, Beautiful Baby, and Full of Life

Ink: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Stayz-On Black

Stampin' Write Markers: Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Soft Suede

Accessories: Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive, Snail Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Small Star Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon, Old Olive Satin Ribbon

Awash with Watercolors!

This card was inspired by one Sophia Landry posted on Andrea Walford's Blog. I love following their blog, they update so often and are an amazing source of inspiration.

This card was created with left over and retired Sweet Pea DSP, Stayz-On Black ink pad, Aqua Pens, Real Red and Old Olive ink.

Customer Appreciation Gifts

These started out with the idea that I would get a little prepared for the summer ahead of time, by making these for my co-workers now. They then evolved into Thank You's for the Cafeteria ladies at Emma's school and then into 'Thank You' Gifts I am handing out to my customers who placed orders with me last week. I am filling them with ribbon samples and punches that can be used to create Patriotic cards or scrapbook pages. Call me to place your order today - and you can have one too!

Shabby Chic

Now that I have my own "studio" set up, I have really been able to organize my supplies - including my pictures. Being this organized has made catching up on my scrapbooking a breeze.

The other day I was going through a box of retired DSP, and came across half a pack of Bella Rose. I loved this paper and I'm thrilled that Pink Pirouette is making a return. Today I realized that the pack of Shabby Chic style fabric I recently bought for Big Shot projects would coordinate perfectly with the Bella Rose and Pink Pirouette. I also picked up some pale pink crocheted ribbon at Joanne's the other day and that paired perfectly with my last bit of Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon. I normally try to use only SU products on my blog, but since Stampin' Up! doesn't carry crochet ribbon, I thought it would be okay to use it just this once...I am holding out hope that there will be some in the soon to be released 2010-2011 IBC.

But back to the Shabby Chic Big Shot flowers - aren't they darling? If I had to pick a favorite style, this would be it!
